Your words are your weapons!

Finally, having a huge vocabulary will pay off!

The goal of Death by Letters is to take turns adding letters to a word fragment in order to force other players to spell a word.  That's right! You don't want to spell a word.  Like a spelling bee in reverse. The more words you know, the more chances you have to stay alive.

One part spelling, two parts strategy!

You've brought the vocab, but can you bring the strategy? Winning requires more than just smarts—you'll need to plot character assassination by sabotaging your opponents through clever bluffing and word play. But beware of Plot Twist cards! They dramatically alter the game and could force your treachery to come back and haunt you—or worst, spell your own doom!

Get a ghost, change the game!

The host Ghosts have been sliced into heads, bodies, and feet.  Every time you lose a round,  you get a Ghost Card with a game changing ability. But beware!  Build a full ghost and you're out of the game.  Not to mention....dead.

So, what amalgamation of a Ghost will you become?

GAMEPLAY

The goal is to NOT spell a word.  Use strategy and sabotage to beat your opponents. Sounds easy, right?

THE START: The round starts by a player flipping over a Letter Card and adding a letter to start the word fragment.

THE WORD GETS LONGER: The next player adds a letter without spelling a word.  But, here's the catch...you have to thinking of a valid word.  If you can't think of a valid word, bluff with confidence!

EACH PLAYER HAS TO MAKE HARD CHOICES: The next player can challenge (if they think you are bluffing), play a Plot Twist Card, or they add a letter.  Play continues until a word is spelled or a player loses a challenge.

Smaller than a dictionary, but as big as your brain!

Death by Letters is small (only cards and a dry erase board). But it packs a punch.   The game is designed 3-8 players with games can be short or up to 60 minutes.  Since there is spelling (and kids usually don't like spelling as much as we do), we recommend ages 12+.  I mean, do you really want to dunk on your 11-year-old nephew who didn't know how to spell ignoramus?
